Swordfish Cubs has 26 members, and is run by a team of 5 volunteer leaders. We meet on Thursday evenings in South Wonston, and follow a very varied programme, which includes trips out and about in the local area, interesting speakers, and lots of new skills and challenges for the Cubs to enjoy.
Recently we have visited a local farm to learn about arable agriculture, held debates with Steve Brine MP, had a visit from an adventurer who had climbed Mount Everest, programmed little robots with Apple, and made model planes for the Army Flying Museum’s exhibitions.
We have also been hiking around the local area, had campfires and learnt pioneer skills, and enjoyed celebrating both Pancake Day and Chinese New Year with games and food to try.
We have lots of fun, so do come and join us. Or, if you have any skills that you think would be interesting for the Cubs to learn about, please get in touch.
